PDTI’s Successful Participation in PNGCORE Investment Week 2024
SYDNEY: We, at PDTI (Papua New Guinea Defensive Training Institute), were grateful for the opportunity to participate in the PNG Investment Week Conference, held in Sydney from December 6th to 13th, 2024. The event, which brought together business leaders, government officials, and international investors, provided us with a significant platform to showcase our services and engage with potential clients. We are especially thankful to our sister company, Black Swan, for allowing us to represent PDTI and for their unwavering support throughout the event.
Throughout the conference, one of the most frequently asked questions was about the types of training PDTI offers. We were proud to highlight our core programs, particularly the Defensive Driver Training and HEAT (Hostile Environment Awareness Training), which sparked great interest. Participants were impressed by the comprehensive nature of these programs, and many expressed a strong desire to explore further collaboration.
Networking was a key part of our experience, allowing us to connect with fellow Papua New Guineans and international representatives. These interactions broadened our perspectives on business networking and opened our eyes to the global opportunities available for growth and collaboration.
We were pleased with the positive feedback we received, especially regarding our relationship with Black Swan. Many attendees were impressed by Black Swan’s ability to offer its own tracking services and the fact that PDTI operates as a separate company under the Black Swan umbrella. The Defensive Driver Training and HEAT programs were highlighted as standout services, with existing clients speaking highly of their effectiveness and relevance.
In terms of business development, we were able to secure meetings with representatives from prominent companies, including PNG Ports, Santos, and K92 Mining. These discussions have already led to scheduled follow-up meetings to explore training needs for 2025, and we are hopeful about the potential to expand our client base in the coming year.
Overall, our participation in the PNG Investment Week Conference was a great success. We are thankful for the chance to showcase PDTI’s services, connect with new clients, and receive valuable feedback. As we look ahead to 2025, we remain excited about the opportunities that lie ahead, and we are grateful to Black Swan for their continued support in helping us grow and succeed.
