Clan related violence in Tari-Pori sparked a call for action from the PNG Government and various civil organisations. The United Nations sprung into action and requested logistical and communications support from Black Swan to transport critical health kits and tents to the area. Further, Black Swan, through its technology partner, Astrolab PNG, was able to establish a satellite link to provide additional field communication support to the humanitarian team in Tari.

Black Swan supports the life-saving work of the UN agencies in Tari, the RPNGC, PNGDF, Hela Provincial Health Authority, United Church of Hela Region and other churches and CSOs in the region. We are honoured to have been able to support this mission and the great work that is being done to support victims of clan based violence and those displaced by it.
