Black Swan International (BSI) is pleased to announce the recent appointment of David Martin to the role of General Manager. David is taking over from Shane Harden. In Shane’s time at BSI, he has overseen significant restructuring of several key areas of the business to reinforce BSI’s position as a leader in the provision of security and secure transport services in Papua New Guinea.

 David’s appointment to the role of General Manager is a natural progression from his previous role at BSI as the Corporate Services Manager where he was an integral part of the core leadership team. The continuity his appointment provides, combined with his focus on the maintenance of existing client relationships will ensure levels of service provision and quality remain high and client expectations are exceeded. David will also be focussed on the development of new partnerships to further strengthen BSI’s position as the security provider of choice for some of the biggest names in PNG.

 David is a proven operator and leader who has over 15 years’ experience as a senior manager specialising in strategic planning, project management, security and facilities management, onsite life support and logistics across a range of industries in challenging and often austere environments such as China and Kazakhstan. He has experience managing contracts in Iraq and Afghanistan in support of government officials and UN agencies. David also has over 20 years’ British Army Combined Military Service serving as Warrant Officer (CSM) and has served in Northern Ireland, Kosovo and Bosnia. David’s extensive and varied operational and corporate leadership experience will enhance all aspects of BSI’s service delivery.

BSI currently services 25 locations and employs over 1600 staff members across PNG. Our services include static armed and unarmed guarding, mobile patrols, access and egress management, armed quick response teams, security K9 handling, secure transportation services, aviation security, security technology solutions, corporate advisory services, intelligence reporting and investigations.
